The Long Embrace Feature

Charles Morgan believes in living life to the fullest. Following his time as a POW in the Vietnam War, he returns home to his awaiting high school sweetheart, Suzanne. Reunited, they prepare to embark on the thrills of life side by side and hand in hand, through marriage, children, and old age.

However, Suzanne Morgan will never see old age, as she dies giving birth to their first child, Marie. Bitter and distraught, Charles must learn to raise their daughter on his own. Charles knows about war; he knows about mourning his lost love. What does he know about raising a child? But Charles knows how to rely on God, as well, and it is this reliance on Christ that will act as the support beneath Charles's tumbling resolve.

The Long Embrace is a comforting story of healing and strength. It reminds us all that, as Christians, we are truly in the everlasting arms of the protective Good Shepherd, who will carry each of us through even our darkest hours.
